Easter week

Spring should bring excitement and happiness at more daylight and less snow, but there is always so much work to be done before relaxation!! This year I finally made time to make Nigella's Easter Egg Nest cake, and it turned out pretty well! It's from Feast. Lots of help from The Man of the House, who was just as excited.

After a little over a year, I feel like blogging again. Have settled into a new house, and am slowly settling into my 30s. Why was there a period between 21 and 31 that felt like a foreign country? I'd like to be home now, knowing all is well. I think I'm getting there.

Settling in

Well, I've made the move - welcome to those of you who got the link posting from my old blog. I'll start this new one just by posting a pretty picture to try out the features here. It seems fitting to start the blog with a picture of my beloved piano.
